iListen starts Women's History Month with its first guest, Janet Brazil. We mark Brain Injury Awareness Day on March 4 as Janet educates us on the effects of brain injury and how it can be managed.

Janet is the author of "Heal Your Brain Faster - Empower Your Mind Through Yoga" and a certified yoga instructor. She is a survivor of a traumatic brain injury for more than three decades. Her mission is to help other brain injured and stroke survivors heal through yoga and breathing practice.

Remembering the Holocaust - Episode 9

We commemorate the victims of the Holocaust on January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, with guest Abraham Silverman who tells of his experience growing up in the Jewish ghettos of Iași, Romania under nazi occupation. He was one of only 11,000 Jews that survived out of the 35,000 Jews in that ghetto. We also discuss the rise of anti-semitism and what's necessary to ensure events like the holocaust don't repeat history.

In this first episode, we learn the story of iListen begins with the journey of its Founder, Melaida Corpuz, who like most of us spent many years as an employee. By listening to her inner voice she created the path she was always meant to be on. As an entrepreneur, Melaida speaks about the challenges, but most importantly her ”Why” for creating this business.
